Jonathan Rees
Dr Jonathan Rees is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist and Sports Physician who has been practising since 2004. His expertise spans a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, making him a valuable resource for patients dealing with various joint and soft tissue disorders.
Dr Rees also has significant experience in sports medicine, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries. He is a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
His expertise extends to professional sports, having served as a physician for both the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Great Britain 2008 Paralympic Team and he has experience in Professional Football, Rugby Union, F1 and numerous other sports. This high-level experience translates into expert care for athletes at all levels.
Mr Jonathan Rees has a financial interest in the practice as he holds a directorship position and a significant shareholding (>5%) in Momentm Health Limited; Momentm Health Limited owns all equipment.
In rheumatology, Dr Rees specialises in conditions such as gout, back pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and inflammatory disorders including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. His comprehensive approach to these complex conditions helps patients manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Internationally recognised for his work on tendon problems, Dr Rees has made substantial contributions to this field. His doctoral research on tendinopathy from University College London was awarded the British Society of Sport and Exercise Medicine research prize.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr Rees is committed to advancing medical knowledge. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in teaching and research.
