Meet Alex
Alex Mitchell
Alex Mitchell qualified as a Radiographer from the University of Suffolk in 2016 and has spent the majority of his career at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. During his undergraduate training, a placement in Sweden offered him a valuable perspective on how healthcare approaches differ internationally — an experience that has shaped his patient-centred philosophy throughout his career.
Alex began focusing on MRI in 2019 and has developed particular expertise in musculoskeletal and angiography imaging. His professional development was formally recognised in 2024 when he was promoted to Senior MRI Radiographer, reflecting his growing expertise and his contribution to the team at Cambridge University Hospitals.
Alex places strong emphasis on patient communication, believing that a well-informed patient is a more relaxed patient. He takes time to answer questions, address concerns, and demystify the scanning process — ensuring every patient feels comfortable and confident from the moment they arrive.
