Meet Akhil

Akhil Raj brings over ten years of experience in diagnostic imaging to Momentm, with particular expertise in cardiac MRI encompassing both adult and paediatric imaging studies. His background includes deep knowledge of MRI physics, safety protocols, and advanced imaging optimisation, and he holds a BSc in Medical Imaging Technology from JSS University, Mysore. He is registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Society of Radiographers (SoR).

As a Senior MRI Radiographer at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Akhil oversees a broad range of MRI procedures spanning cardiac, neurological, vascular, urological, gynaecological, and paediatric imaging. He leads the MRI Implant Safety team and serves as a mentor to junior radiographers, supporting the development of the next generation of imaging professionals.

Akhil’s career spans both the UK and India, where he held senior roles managing radiology departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the development of advanced imaging techniques. This international experience, combined with his commitment to quality assurance, brings a distinctive depth to his clinical practice.
